Welcome to the Arc of Putnam County
Since its inception in 1974, the Arc of Putnam County has been the flag ship of our community’s efforts to provide the services and supports necessary for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to assume meaningful roles and fulfilling lives in Putnam County. From its modest beginnings as a small activity center for adults to its present array of residential and training services spread across ten sites and serving 180 of our friends and neighbors, The Arc of Putnam County has set the benchmark for quality community based services while maintaining a laser focus on its mission to help build a community with a place for everyone. As a result, the people we serve are assuming ever expanding roles in Putnam County; as contributors to our economy through productive work, as consumers of products and services provided by local businesses, as fellow church goers, community volunteers, and as friends and neighbors.
In its 36 years of service, The Arc of Putnam County has received numerous accolades and achieved wide recognition for its accomplishments, but perhaps its greatest success has been its relationship with the community we all share, which nurtured its beginnings and embraced its mission, bringing to realization the potential of a community with a place for everyone.
